Office hours: Tuesdays and Friday after class, and by appointments.

Prerequisite: Interests in IC design with VHDL will be preferrable, but no prerequisite requirements is necessary.

Grading: 50% final exam + 50% H.W 

Course description

This course aims to convey a knowledge of advanced concepts of circuit design automation for digital LSI and VLSI components in state of the art MOS technologies. Emphasis is on the circuit design optimization of low power circuits for use in applications such as micro-processors, signal and multimedia processors.
This semester, special attention will be given to the following topics: Computer Aided Design for aiming lower power .
